Swiss continues to deploy its Airbus A350 on long-haul routes. After its gradual introduction on short- and medium-haul routes, followed by its first intercontinental service to Boston, the aircraft will be operating the Zurich – Seoul<\/strong> route from March 29, 2026<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

With this upgrade, the Airbus A350 will fully embark on its long-haul mission to Asia, enabling Swiss to offer its new “Swiss Senses”<\/strong> cabin concept.<\/p>\n

Two aircraft, one assignment still to be confirmed<\/h2>\n

Swiss has yet to specify which of its first two Airbus A350s will be assigned to the Zurich – Seoul route. The first aircraft, HB-IFA<\/strong>, will sport a special Wanderlust<\/em> livery, while the second, HB-IFB<\/strong>, will be operated in the airline’s classic livery. <\/p>\n

Significant time savings on the Zurich – Seoul flight<\/h2>\n

The destination of Seoul, which will be integrated into the Swiss network in 2024, has until now been served by an Airbus A340. The switch to the Airbus A350 will reduce flight times to around 11 hours and 10 minutes<\/strong>, almost 50 minutes less<\/strong> than current operations. <\/p>\n

This reduction in journey time is due to the A350’s enhanced performance, thanks to a lighter design, new-generation engines and a higher cruising altitude.<\/p>\n

Frequency and opening of sales<\/h2>\n

The Zurich – Seoul<\/strong> route will be operated three times a week<\/strong>, on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Flights will be open for booking from the end of this week<\/strong>, enabling companies and frequent travelers to plan ahead for their trips to South Korea from the 2026 summer season onwards.<\/p>\n

An asset for business trips to Asia<\/h2>\n

With the introduction of the Airbus A350 on this strategic route, Swiss is boosting the attractiveness of the Zurich – Seoul route for business travellers. Shorter flight times, a modern aircraft and a new cabin standard are key elements for long-haul business travel. <\/p>\n
