Edelweiss to open service to Namibia in summer 2026

Swiss airline Edelweiss continues to expand its long-haul network, announcing the opening of a direct route between Zurich and Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. This new seasonal route will be operated from summer 2026, with two weekly flights.

With this direct flight, Edelweiss facilitates access to Southern Africa for all travelers wishing to discover a destination with spectacular landscapes and exceptional biodiversity. Namibia is renowned for its vast deserts, national parks and fascinating culture.

Long-haul service with Airbus A340s

The Zurich-Windhoek flights will be operated by the Airbus A340, a comfortable long-haul aircraft. As a subsidiary of SWISS, a member of the Lufthansa Group, Edelweiss offers quality service and comfort for all travellers.
