ETA required to enter the United Kingdom from April 2025

11 Feb 2025 | Regulations & Travel Advice

From April 2025, an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) will be required to enter the UK, including for short stays or transits.

A completely digital procedure

This authorization must be requested online before departure and will be valid for two years. The process aims to strengthen border security while facilitating controls.

Citizens of the European Union and other selected countries will be affected by this measure.

Anticipate your trips

The ETA aims to simplify entry formalities into the United Kingdom, but travelers are recommended to anticipate their request in order to avoid any last-minute constraints.
