Qatar Airways Named Best Airline in the World

Qatar Airways is delighted to reclaim its position as the Best Airline in the World 2024 for the eighth time at Skytrax 2024, widely regarded as the “Oscars” of the aviation industry.

In addition to the main award, Qatar Airways has won six additional awards, including:

  • Best Business Class in the World
  • Best Business Class Lounge
  • Best Airline in the Middle East

Hamad International Airport (HIA) in Doha, the hub of Qatar Airways, has also been recognized as the Best Airport in the World, the most prestigious honor awarded by Skytrax 2024. Additionally, it was named Best Airport for Shopping and Best Airport in the Middle East.

28 Additional Weekly Flights to Australia

Qatar Airways is excited to announce that Virgin Australia, its strategic partner, will begin operations in Doha. This partnership will provide more options for customers traveling to Australia.

Starting in June 2025, Virgin Australia will launch flights between Australia and Doha, Qatar, in connection with Qatar Airways’ extensive network. The Australian destinations will be served as follows:

  • Twice daily from Doha to Sydney, Perth, and Brisbane
  • Three times daily to Melbourne

All flights will be operated by Qatar Airways aircraft.
