Swiss has taken delivery in Zurich of its second factory-built Airbus A350-900.
Christened “Delémont”, the aircraft is the first of its type to sport the airline’s classic livery. Its first commercial flight is scheduled for February 23, 2026, from Zurich to Montreal.
“Our first Airbus A350-900 proved highly reliable in its first 100 days of operation.
Each new A350 enables us to offer the experience of our new Swiss Senses cabin to an ever-increasing number of passengers. Over the next few years, eight more fuel-efficient Airbus A350-900s will be added to the fleet,” says Chief Operating Officer Oliver Buchhofer.
With the entry into service of HB-IFB, Swiss now operates two Airbus A350-900s.
From the 2026 summer timetable, these aircraft will be used on long-haul routes to Boston and Seoul. Further Airbus A350s will be added to the fleet later this year.
