Leisure airline Edelweiss is systematically expanding its network as part of its 2026 summer flight program.
Travelers from Zurich will benefit from three new destinations, as well as increased frequencies and longer seasons on several existing routes.
Three new short- and long-haul destinations
From summer 2026, Edelweiss will be adding three new destinations to its range.
Glasgow will be served from May 29 to September 14, 2026, with flights on Mondays and Fridays.
The Scottish metropolis lends itself equally well to city breaks, tours of the Highlands or a combination with Edinburgh.
With Kefalonia, Edelweiss completes its offer in Greece with a new Ionian island.
Flights will be offered from June 6 to August 29, 2026, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. This destination is particularly suited to travelers looking for a quiet seaside vacation away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist industry.
On long-haul routes, Edelweiss has announced the addition of Windhoek to its schedule.
From June 1, 2026, the Namibian capital will be served twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays. This new route complements existing African services to Cape Town, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar.
More frequencies and extended seasons in Europe
On short and medium-haul routes, Edelweiss is mainly strengthening its offer to Southern Europe.
Faro will now be served daily during the summer vacations, while Kalamata will enjoy three weekly flights from mid-May.
In Corsica, the season to Calvi has been extended until the autumn vacations.
New flights to Figari have also been added, with two weekly rotations.
The Azores remain a key summer destination, with up to four flights a week to Ponta Delgada and Terceira.
Edelweiss is also increasing frequencies to several other European destinations. Bergen, Zadar and Tbilisi will now be served three times a week.
Larnaca will benefit from an additional flight from July onwards.
Bristol, integrated into the network since summer 2025, will be offered from Easter and operated throughout the summer season.
The season to Varna, Bulgaria, will start on June 7, 2026, while Santiago de Compostela, Spain, will remain on the program until the autumn vacations.
Strengthening our long-haul business
In North America, Edelweiss consolidates several routes. Seattle will be back on the schedule from June 1, 2026, and will be served three times a week from June 25.
Halifax will remain on the schedule until October 18, 2026, also covering the autumn season. Vancouver will be served from May 5, 2026, and will increase to a daily flight from June 13. This increase is due in particular to strong summer demand and the 2026 Football World Cup, which Vancouver will be hosting.
Existing long-haul routes to Tampa Bay, Denver, Las Vegas and Calgary also remain on the schedule.
In the Caribbean, Edelweiss is banking on continuity. The popular destination of Punta Cana will be offered three weekly flights during the spring and summer vacations, confirming its central role in the company’s long-haul offering.
