Emirates continues the gradual restoration of its operations, announcing an almost complete return to its scheduled flight schedule. After several months of operational restrictions, the airline has now restored 96% of its worldwide network.
Over the past few weeks, Emirates has gradually relaunched its routes to the Americas, Europe, Africa, West Asia, the Middle East, the Far East and Australasia. The airline currently serves 137 destinations in 72 countries and operates over 1,300 weekly flights, representing around 75% of its pre-disruption capacity.
This network reinforcement enables Emirates to offer more frequencies, more seats and more travel options, consolidating Dubai’s role as a major international hub.
Stronger connections from Switzerland
Emirates continues to provide important connectivity between Switzerland, Dubai and numerous international destinations. The airline currently operates two daily flights between Zurich and Dubai, as well as one daily flight between Geneva and Dubai.
From its hub in Dubai, Emirates offers connections to several popular destinations, including Thailand, the Maldives, the Seychelles and Mauritius.
Despite a still partially reduced schedule, Emirates carried 4.7 million passengers between March 1 and April 30, confirming the gradual recovery of international air traffic.
More flexible conditions for travellers
To accompany this return to normal, Emirates is maintaining a number of measures designed to facilitate travel and connections.
Customers who booked travel from April 2 onwards can change their ticket to the same destination or to another destination in the same region, as long as travel is completed by June 15 at the latest. Travelers who have booked directly with Emirates can manage their changes online via emirates.ch and benefit from a free 24-hour fare block.
The Dubai Connect service also remains available for passengers with a connecting flight between 6 and 26 hours in Dubai. This offer includes one night’s accommodation in a 4- or 5-star hotel, meals, airport transfers and, if required, an entry visa for the United Arab Emirates.
Extended Skywards benefits
From May 1 to August 31, 2026, members of the Emirates Skywards program benefit from easier access to higher status and bonus miles on Emirates and Flydubai flights.
