London Heathrow airport has invested nearly£1 billion in the installation of new state-of-the-art CT scanners throughout its terminals.
From now on, passengers no longer need to remove liquids or electronic devices from their hand baggage during security checks.
Faster, smoother controls
This investment is aimed at speeding up security procedures and reducing waiting times at checkpoints. According to the airport, the CT scanners installed at Heathrow provide much more detailed images of the contents of hand luggage.
This technology enables faster checks, while maintaining high safety standards for passengers and airport infrastructures.
