Finnair will increase its flights to Tokyo in the summer of 2027. The Finnish airline will offer up to three daily flights between Helsinki and the Japanese capital during peak travel periods, providing international travelers with more connection options.
Additional Flights to Tokyo-Narita
From May 12 to August 14, 2027, Finnair plans to add an additional flight between Helsinki and Tokyo-Narita Airport, bringing its service to two daily flights to that airport on certain dates.
At the same time, the daily flight to Tokyo-Haneda will continue. This expansion will allow the airline to operate up to three flights a day to the Japanese capital during the peak season.
Easier connections via Helsinki
The schedules for the new flights have been designed to facilitate connections between Japan and Finnair’s European network.
For business travelers, this increase in capacity will offer greater flexibility in planning business trips, with a wider selection of flights and departure times to Tokyo.
Up to 32 weekly flights to Japan
With this schedule, Finnair will increase its service from 28 weekly flights in the summer of 2026 to up to 32 flights per week in the summer of 2027.
In addition to Tokyo-Narita and Tokyo-Haneda, the airline flies to Osaka year-round and to Nagoya during the summer season.
This expansion underscores the importance of the Japanese market within Finnair’s international network and meets the sustained demand for travel between Europe and Asia.
