Swiss will increase its capacity between Geneva and London-Heathrow as part of its 2027 summer flight schedule. The airline will replace two Airbus A220-300s with two Airbus A320neos at Geneva Airport.
This change will increase the number of available seats on certain flights. The Airbus A220-300 has 145 seats, compared with 180 on the Airbus A320neo.
Two Airbus A320neo aircraft on the Geneva–London Heathrow route
Swiss will deploy these two Airbus A320neo aircraft on the route between Geneva and London-Heathrow, one of the most popular routes departing from Geneva.
Last year, this route carried 1,033,458 passengers, an increase of 2.69%. Last July, it carried 100,797 passengers, an increase of 13.8%.
A Strong Signal for Geneva
For Swiss, this fleet adjustment underscores Geneva’s importance within its network. The airline plans to strengthen its presence at Geneva Airport with a service offering better tailored to demand.

Swiss will finalize the operational details of its summer 2027 flight schedule over the next few weeks.
